How to clean sponges?

Fill a bowl with warm water, place  your sponge in it and squeeze to start removing old makeup.  Then add to the water a few drops of antibacterial soap or a gentle shampoo. You can use the soap alone or mix it with some drops of olive oil. Leave the sponge in the bowl for a few minutes, then give your sponge a few squeezes, rinse and repeat until water runs clear. Once your sponge is clean, towel dry it and squeeze the rest of the excess water out. Remember to wash your makeup sponges on a daily or weekly basis.

How to Clean Makeup Brush?

Start by rinsing the bristles with lukewarm water. Then pour antibacterial soap or a gentle shampoo into a bowl. You can add a little olive oil to help prevent the bristles from drying out. Next, gently massage the brush in the  cleanser (soap or shampooo)  in a circular motion. You could  also use the palm of your hand instead of a bowl. Rinse off the foam and repeat several times  until the foam and water run clear and your brushes have returned to their original color. Then gently press on the bristles with your fingers to remove excess water and lay the brushes on a paper towel or cloth to absorb excess water. Never leave them to dry in an upright position!

Remember to wash your brushes regularly at least 1-2 times a week.
